My story

A path that runs through people, pressure, and systems

My route to this work didn’t start in a boardroom. It started in hospitality — years as a server and bartender, learning to read people the moment they walked in, stay calm when everything was chaos, and juggle a dozen competing demands without dropping a single one. That’s where I learned that composure isn’t the absence of pressure. It’s what you build on top of it.

From there I moved into high-stakes, commission-only sales, where every dollar I earned came directly from my ability to negotiate. Nobody handed me a salary. If I couldn’t close, I didn’t get paid — so I learned to negotiate like my livelihood depended on it, because it did. That’s a kind of nerve most people never have to develop, and I’m grateful I did.

The steadiness and the fight live just beneath the smile.

Over two decades, that turned into a career spanning real estate, marketing, communications, business strategy, and project management. I found I was happiest behind the scenes — helping organizations grow, untangling problems, fixing broken systems, and getting the right people working on the right things so nothing slipped through the cracks. Project management taught me to break something complex into its moving parts and make sure each one had an owner.

Most recently, I earned a master’s in communication management and marketing. It matters because it means my approach is grounded in current research and modern, AI-driven tools — not a playbook that’s been gathering dust for a decade. And as a fourth-generation local in La Paz County, I know the Colorado River communities from the inside.

Put it all together and you get the way I work today: genuinely warm and easy to be around, with a tenacious, systems-minded advocate working quietly underneath. That’s who shows up for every client — whether we’re architecting a business, adopting AI, or finding the right home on the river.
